The software components within the ESP platform include: a real-time recommendation engine, a sophisticated site search engine, a visual merchandising engine, tools for product data aggregation and browsing, a reporting module, an in-context toolkit (to provide page previews) and a Control Panel. Implementation is typically a very light touch javascript integration or where required integration can be at a server-to-server level. Once ESP is implemented, an entire site can be configured with online merchandising in about 10-minutes. |
- Zones: Areas of web-site where you want Locayta to provide Content (including Search).
- Content: Content can be any type of HTML-compliant content, including text, images, video etc. It’s effectively the delivery envelope for the merchandising that is delivered by Locayta.
- Rules: Determine what Content to deliver to which Zones and under what conditions.
- Cascading rules: A Zone can have multiple rules. The rules are processed from the top. If the first rule doesn't trigger then the system tries the 2nd rule and so on until either a rule triggers or you have reached the default rule for that zone.
- Triggers: define the conditions under which a rule is triggered. Triggers can be almost any user event on the site.
- Scheduling: You can attach a schedule to a rule.
