Display Advertising

Locayta Freestyle Merchandising® is a full-function merchandising platform that provides several layers of merchandising functionality to a retail site. A significant component of that functionality, is Visual Merchandising. On other pages, we describe some examples of visual merchandising within an eCommerce site.

In addition to those examples, Locayta's visual merchandising can be used in conjunction with it's behavioural targeting algorithms, to dynamically target visual elements (i.e. display advertising) on a personalised basis for each unique page view.

Locayta's search engine analyses the content of each page, assigning weights to important key words and identifying which display adverts might be relevant to that particular page. Locayta's behavioural marketing algorithms then track user activity on the site in real-time, matching their activity profile to the Locayta page analysis to suggest display adverts that would be a good match for that users activity.

As with most elements in Freestyle Merchandising®, the configuration settings for display advertising can be accessed and amended via the Locayta control panel.

Locayta Freestyle Merchandising® provides a very flexible environment for managing display advertising, which can be configured to be completely automatic or can be a mixture of manual and automatic.

The flexibility and control that Locayta's display advertising provides, enables site operators to optimise the advertising revenue for their online inventory, without creating additional workload for their staff.
