4. Visual Merchandising

ESP Provides a very powerful but flexible way of delivering Visual Merchandising. This can be configured to be completely automatic and dynamic, or can work in conjuction with manual merchandising by the retailer.

Banner Ads

What this means

Visual merchandising can be as simple as driving the display of visual elements, such as banners etc, based on the page or category selected by the use. In this example, ESP is displaying a 10%-off promotion for cashmere, triggered by the user selecting the cashmere category.

Visual Merchandising

What this means

A more sophisticated use of visual merchandising is to combine it with metrics drive data from layer2.

In this example, ESP is generating the entire page in response to the user selecting a category. The sequencing of products displayed on the page, is determined by ESP's weighting of the site metrics data (e.g. margin and availability etc).

Customised Merchandising

What this means

In this example, ESP is using layer 3 and layer 5(customised merchandising) to display a different home page (a Christmas theme) based on a date trigger.
