Reporting and MIS (Management Information Systems)

Locayta provides two bespoke reporting solutions: 

  • An MIS system that provides pivot table style drill-down analysis of web-stats and search queries (or any other data – e.g. purchase data etc). The system is capable of dealing with very large volumes of data (e.g. several hundred millions rows of data) and provides scheduling of standard reports and a drag-n-drop SQL query creator. The system is highly configurable and each client will get a bespoke implementation.

This system is suited for users who don’t necessarily know what information they want, but want to get their hands dirty with the data – i.e. explore the data and drill down when they want to investigate an item in more detail.

  • A reporting system that collates data (e.g. web-stats and search queries) for pre-determined reports in real-time.

Data is stored in a hierarchical format, such that the top of the hierarchy contains an aggregated value of the sum of all its children. This makes it very fast in retrieving stats and generating reports with real-time data.

This system is well suited for those users who need access to real-time data in a set format quickly, rather than those users who want to investigate the data. It is also very useful as a real-time activity feedback API - i.e. can provide answers in real-time to queries such as "# users who viewed product X within the last hour" or "top 10 search terms within the last 5 minutes".
